PB Songwriter Series Lockup 1080x1920 RGB copy Songwriter Series Since it’s launch in July 2022, Playbill has produced a monthly Video Concert Series spotlighting emerging musical theatre composers and lyricists. The Playbill Songwriter Series is a celebration of diversity highlighting musicians from marginalized groups who perform songs from their catalogue. Singing alongside them are New York’s most talented vocalists and Broadway alums who lend their voices to these up-and-coming artists’ works to perform at the Playbill Sing For Hope Piano. This year’s featured songwriters have included Troy Anthony, Jaime Jarret, Cheeyang Ng, Truth Future Bachman, Jay Adana, Rona Siddiqui, and Anna Jacobs. These intimate Songwriter Series performances are filmed in Playbill’s Times Square office with the Videos streamed monthly on Playbill.com. The Playbill Songwriter Series continues into 2023 showcasing artists that span a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds and gender identities.
