Overview

This past October, everyone’s Playbills looked slightly different. The cover might have been in black and white; it could have even had a decidedly ’70s vibe. That was because Playbill celebrated their 140th anniversary! We teamed up with every show on Broadway to design four special October legacy covers for each show, commemorating different eras of Playbill — and wow, have we had some different looks! Despite the various designs, one thing has remained true in our 140 years, something that connects you with an audience member back in 1884: you receive a Playbill as part of the theatregoing experience!
